TUTUTAWA
Miss J. Lewis, of the Hawera hospital nursing staff, was the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lewis, at the week-end. Mr. D. McAloon, Stratford, was a visitor to Tututawa at the week-end as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Stevenson. Mrs. L. Caskey is visiting Wellington for a few days. The Tututawa branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union held a dance and euchre party in the hall. Visitors were present from Inglewood, Toko, Douglas, Puniwhakau and Makahu. Card winners were Mrs. A. Gower and Mr. J. Bellamy. Music for dancing was supplied by Mr. E. Harwood and extras were played by Mr. A. Graham. Songs were given by Miss M. Goble and Mrs. L. Walker. Novelty dances were won as follows: Monte Carlo waltz, Miss J. Alcock and Mr. B. Mason; bomber waltz, Mr. and Mrs. O. Reichart; spot dance, Miss B. Walker and Mr. D. Gibbs. A biscuit competition was won by Mr. W. Jacobsen. Sweets and cakes were sold during the evening and helped the funds. The card masters were Mr. L. Walker and Mr. J. Wallace. The master of ceremonies was Mr. M. Jenkin.
