THRILLS IN "HIDDEN GOLD."
NEW "HOPALONG" FILM AT KING'S. Staccato gun-fire and the lariat justice of the Old West come to town when "Hopalong" Cassidy and his pals open fire with their latest adventure romance • — Paramount's "Hidden Gold," which is now showing at the King's Theatre, Stratford. Again, William. Boyd gives life to Clarence E. Mulford's famous cowboy character, delights his old fans and adds a host of new ones. This latest adventure concerns a gang of robbers who are stopping gold-shipments and who manage to point suspicion away from themselves to an innocent man. Plenty of fast action is necessary before their skulduggery is uncovered, and there's lots of action right up to the finish. Four travclling trunks— all identical and one with a dead body in it! When two newspaper reporters found the body serious complications set in— but when the trunk and its whole gory contents were stolen, anything could happen — and did, with a ton of thrills and a thousand laughs in "Opened By Mistake," with Charlie Ruggles, Janice Logan, Robcrt Paige and William Frawley.
