Championship matehes were continued at Tarurutangi at the week-end. E. R. Street beat his brother. R. J. Street, in the final of the senior championship 2 up over 36 holes. The intermediate final is to be contested by M. Keegan and M. Dineen. who beat G. Hutton 5 up and 4 after the match had been all square at the turn. In the junior final J. Sampson will meet N. Johnson, who beat F. George 4 and 2 in a semi-final. First round matehes in the McGee Cup resulted: F. George (24) beat W. Dey (18) 6 and 4,»J. Sampson (20) beat I. Fleming (19) 2 and 1, G. Hutton (18) beat E. Melody (10) 3 and 2, R. J. Street (7) beat E. Smith (15) 3 and 2, S. I. Sadler (11) beat M.: Keegan (18) 2 and 1, M. Dineen a bye, N. Johnson (24) beat H. Wyatt 3 and 2, B. Linn (15) beat R. J. Street (7) by default. A stableford bogey match on Saturday was won by W. Sadler, 27 — 8—35, on a count back. Other scores were: J. Sampson 18 — 17 — 35, R. J. Street 29 — 5—34, M. Keegan 20—14—34, F. George 16—18 -34. A bogey match in the week-end was won by E. R. Street with a score of 1 down. Other cards were: R. Steptoe 2 down, W. Dey 4 down, N. Johnson 4 down, F. George 4 down. Second round games were played in the women's intermediate championship. Results were: Miss P. Driscoll beat Mrs. E. R. Street 5 and 4. Mrs. B. Limit results were: Mrs. Medley beat Mrs. Stewart 5 and 3, Mrs. Sampson beat Miss Barlow 7 and 5. A bogey match played in conjunction was won by Miss Driscoll. who was all square. Other cards were: Mrs. Tailby 1 down, Mrs. Daly 4 down. Junior members played a stableford, won by Mrs. Medley. 4—27—31. Other cards were: Mrs. Sampson 2 — 27 — 29, Miss Stewart 2-27-29. A stableford played yesterday was won by Miss Driscoll, 18—16 — 34, on a count back from Mrs. Tailby, 12 — 22 — 34. Other cards were: Miss Pen warden 7—24—31, Mrs. Daly 11—18-29.
