BADMINTON AT KAPUNI
The Kapuni Badminton Club held a women's singles handicap tournament recently for.a cup presented by Mr. A. Burke. Miss Agnes Steiner won the troDhv. Results were:— First round: Miss Ida Cave (7) beat Miss Mary Steiner (2) 15— 3, Miss Shirley Harrison (1) beat Miss E. Rowe (scr.) 15—3, Miss Agnes Steiner (3) beat Mrs. D. Mitchell (5) 15-8, Miss Jean Garmonsway (4) beat Mrs. W^ Mowatt 6) 15_7j Mrs. James (owe 2) beat Miss Elsie Harrison (8) 15—12. Second round: Miss Ida Cave (7) beat Miss Shirley Harrison (1) lo-13, Miss Agnes Steiner (3) beat Miss Jean Garmonsway (4) 15-10 Mrs. James a bye Semi- final: Mrs. James (owe 2) beat Miss Ida Cave (7) 15—8, Miss Agnes Steiner a bye. Final: Miss Agnes Stemer (3) beat Mrs. James (owe 2) 15—3.
