PUNIWHAKAU SCHOOL
A meeting of the Puniwhakau school committee was held in the school. Accounts were passed for payment. The chairman, Mr. A. Graham, reported that so far the education board had not had any of the repairs attended to. As some outbuildings were getting in a dangerous condition it was decided to write to the board again for permission to have the necessary repairs done locally, as the timber and the labour could be obtained in the district. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. S. Dons, Urenui, were recently the guests of Mr. and Mrs. O. Wood. Mrs. Legge, Bainesse, was a recent visitor to Mr. and Mrs. N. Rolfe. Mrs. J. J. Norris is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Norris, Palmerston North. Mr. and Mrs. J. Watherston, Taurakawa, were recent visitors to Korito, where they were the guests of Mrs. A. Miller. , . Mrs. Gedge, New Plymouth, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. L. Taylor. Mr. S. Riddick was a visitor to Strathmore at the week-end. Miss I. Kendall, of the nursmg stafl of the Wanganui hospital, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. M. Kendall. Miss M. Miller, Korito, was a recent week-end visitor to Mr. and Mrs. J. Watherston, Taurakawa. Miss M. Herlihy, who has been stayins with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and . Mrs. G. Herlihy, Taurakawa, has returned to her home at Kaimata. Mr W. Bowers, Korito, was a visitor to Mr. and Mrs. J. Watherston during the week-end. Miss A. McCoad is staymg with relatives at Tokarirna.
