ALPINE CLUB AT HOME

DAWSON FALLS EVENT

Visitors from. Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Stratford, Eltham and Opunake have intimated their intention of attending the annual at home of the Mount Egmont Alpine Club, which will be held at Dawson Falls this week-end. Organised parties will leave Hawera ! and other Taranaki towns on Saturday afternoon, and a reunion dinner will be held in the evening, following which there will be a dance in Robson Lodge, during which a welcome will be extended to the visitors. Sunday will be devoted to climbing, tramping and skiing under the leadership of experienced guides. Later in the afternoon the parties will assemble at the site of the new ski store. which has been erected in the vicinity of the hostel, and an official opening ceremony will be performed by the chairman of the south committee of the Egmont National Park Board, Mr. A. V. Tait.
