PLUNKET AT WAVERLEY

The monthly meeting of the Waverley branch of the Plunket Society was held in the rooms on Tuesday night, Mrs. F. Cunningham presiding. The nurse's report for July read as follows: Babies under supervision, 44; pre-school children, 61; total, 105; new cases, 34; visits to homes, 25; days to district, 9; adults to office, 69; babies to office, 62; pre-school children, 2; total. 139. Details of the report for August were: Babies under supervision, 63; preschool children, 61; total, 104; new cases, 2; visits to homes, 14; days to district, 9; adults to office, 79; babies to office, 62; pre-school children, 18; total, 159. A report of the executive meeting which had been held was read and discussed. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. T. Linehan for coming to the executive meeting and writing a report. Mesdames Cunningham and Boyne and Mr. Linehan are the Waverley members of the executive committee. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs. Harden for arranging a card party evening at the Kohi hall, assisted by the Kohi Women's Institute. As a result the Plunket Society benefited by £13. It was proposed that a letter of thanks be sent to the Waverley fire brigade for the use of trestles for the Kohi card evening.
