"Broadway Melody of 1940," Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's music and dance film, with Fred Mtaire and Eleanor Powell, .will be shown finally at the Plaza Theatre, Stratford, to-day at 1.30 and 8 p.m. A sparkling potpourri of popular new melodies from Bing Crosby, Dorothy Lamour and Bob Hope, is a feature o£ "Road to Singapore," which will open at the Plaza Theatre, Stratford, to-mor-row at 1.30 and 8 p.m. Once again Paraixiout'i has called upon that ace writing team, Johnny Burke and James V. Monaco, to write a goodly portion of the tunes. Their work for this picture includes "Too Romantic," a number which has already been aired many times. "Sweet Potato Piper," a swingy novelty ture, and "Kaigoon," the number to which Le Roy Prinz's dancing girls perform.
