MYSTERY AND COMEDY.
KING'S BRIGHT DOUBLE BILL. "Return to Yesterday," a romantic comedy of a high standard, starring Clive Brook and Anna Lee, and "Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase," a bright mystery film, will be seen on a double programme , to be shown finally at the King's Theatre, Stratford, to-night. "Hopalong" Cassidy ousts goldmine gangsters in the new Paramopnt picture, "Hidden Gold," which- will head a double bill opening at the King's at 1.30 and 7.45 p.m. to-morrow with William Boyd in a thrilling drama of the West in the frontier-busting days. Russell Hayden and Britt Wood back him up as the two other members of the famous Bar 20 trio. "Opened by Mistake," with Charles Ruggles, Lawrence Grossmith, Robert Paige and Janice Logan in the leading roles, will be the second film. Of its light and airy kind, "Opened by Mistake" is a first class comedy. The story has the charm of the unexpected. In their search for a trunk containing a million dollars, a reporter and a bankers' agent run up against some queer people, including a dapper householder and a sinister personage, who hides his vile intentions behind a mask of suavity.
