HOME GUARD DRILL

WAITARA ACTIVITIES At a recent meeting of the Home Guard committee at Waitara it was decided, in the absertce of any military facilities at present, to carry on instruction in signalling, fire-fighting assistance, demolition work, guard duties and general assistance to the emergency precautions committee. As soon as enrolment forms are available parade nights will be arranged. probably weekly. Civilian instructors are becoming available in the various branches and with the response so far offering by the public it is hoped that in the near future Waitara will make a good showing.
