Mrs. R. Nairne has returned to New Plymouth after a visit to her aunt, Mrs. J. Fraser, Argyle Street. Miss Clare Wright, Masterton, is the guest of Miss M. Pole. Mrs. Howard Purser has returned to New Plymouth after visiting Miss K. O'Sullivan. Mrs. McBreen and Mrs. Willcox, Manaia, visited Inglewood last week-end. Repertory Reading. This month's play reading by the Repertory Club, held on Tuesday evening, was Galsworthy's three-act play "The Skin Game." The clever character delineation and touches of liumour in an otherwise sombre plot were ably interpreted by Miss Joan Thomas and her weli chosen cast. The evening conclucled with supper, served by Miss Cushla Tonks and her assistants. Among those present were Mesdames E. A. Nixon, H. Knightbridge, W. Oliver. S. O. Thomas, Misses H. Eaton, W. McCallum, Joan Hills, Norma Nixon, Joan Thomas, M. Pole, Daphne Brown, Phillis Tomlin, Cushla Tonks, Jenkins, C. Wright (Masterton), Nancy Keeley, Carmen Cameron and Joyce Knightbridge.
