13 YEARS PRESIDENT
MISS CAMPBELL RESIGNS President of the New Plymouth Registered Nurses' Association since its inception 13 years ago, Miss B. A. Campbell was the guest of the association at an informal evening on Tuesday night. Pink azalcas arranged in large bowls and vases made attractive floral decorations. Sister Jackson, vice-president of the association, was the hostess for the evening and bridge was played. At supper opportunity was taken to present Miss Campbell. on behalf of the registered nurses, with a silver bread platter and a brass coal scuttle. The presentation was made by Miss G. Petersen, one of the original members of the association, who referred to the great interest the matron had taken in the association ancl the appreciation of the nurses for her gesture in always allowing the use of the nurses' home for meetings. They regreltcd that Miss Campbell was resigning from the presidency. In reply, Miss Campbell stated that she felt she must resign and allow somcone elsc to carry on in her place. She would, howevcr, still bc a member of the association. Miss Campbell has been made a life vice-president of the association
