A party of alpinists yesterday paid a visit to the scene of Sunday's fatality in the Manganui gorge. East Egmont, with a view to testing theories advanced in connection with the happening. Senior Agricultural Instructor. Approval has been given by the Minister of Education to the appointment of a senior agricultural instructor in Taranaki, the Taranaki board agreeing to take charge of the agricultural work in some Auckland district schools. Thrillers and Jazz Music. Unanimous support for the Hawkes Bay Education Board's protest to the Minister in charge of broadcasting regarding some of the "crime thrillers" broadcast was given by the Taranaki Education Board yesterday. Warning to Schools. The fact that it is a breach of the regulations for schools to sell trees without being registered has been brought to the notice of the Taranaki Education Board which is making representations to the Education Department.
