SHOW DATES CHANGED
STRATFORD AND HAWERA WANGANUI WITHDRAWS The abandonment of the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association's show because the showgrounds are required by the military authorities has resulted in a reatrangement of the dates for the summer shows at Hawera and Stratford. The fixturcs have been advanced a week. The Hawera show will be held on November 15 and November 16, and the show at Stratford will be held on the original Hawera dates, November 22 and November 23. The etlect of the rearrangement is to bring the Taranaki shows a week nearer the Manawatu West Coast and Metropolitan show, which will be held at Palmerston North on November 6 and November 7. The practice in the past has been for the Manawatu, Wanganui, Egmont and Stratford associations to maintain a close circuit of dates to accommodate travelling exhibitors. The withdrawal of the Wanganui show upset this arrangement, and it was necessary for the Taranaki associations to advance their fixturcs if they were to maintain the continuity of the circuit. Fortunately the schedules of the Eg-' mont A. and P. Association, although printed, had not been circulated, and it will be possible to amend the date in accordance with the new fixtures.
