MILITARY ACTIVITY

TERRITORIAL OFFICERS Lieutenant W. T. McCaw, M.M., Inglewood, and Lieutenant C. R. F. Tilley, Stratford, who have been in Taranaki in connection with organsing A and B Companies the 1st Batalion the Taranaki Regiment, prior to moving to Waverley and Waiouru camps, left yesterday on their retura to the C.D.S.I. Territorial Wing, Wellington, where they will take a tactical course. Captain C. F. Norton, Tarurutangi and Lieutenant T. T. Murray, M.C., M.M., Toko, have returned from Wellington to take over the A -.and B Companies respectively. Captain R. R. Henderson, Hawera, O.C. of C Company, also left for Wellington yesterday, to take a tactical course, and Lieutenant W. H. Ellingham, Hawera, who visited Wellington for the same purpose, has returned to Hawera to take charge of C Company during his absence. Sergeants M. Lester and D. C. Cox, Hawera, and A. B. Currie, Patea, have left for Wellington to attend the C.D.S.I.
