LOANS NOW AVAILABLE Where farmers could obtain loans through normal channels but only at a high rate of interest, they might make application for an advance under -the provisions of the Farmers' Loan Ernergency Regulations and each case would be treated on its merits by the executive finance committee and the State Advances Corporation, it was stated by Mr. R. B. Tennent, Dire.CtOL.of Rrimary Production, in— reply to a- letter from the North Taranaki executive of the Farmers' Uijion. It was anticipated, he said, that regulations would be gazetted within a few days that would remedy the position in cases where the articles of association handicapped the loan activities' of dairy factories. It had been notified in that morning's paper that the regulation had been gazetted, and therefore all factories could, if they wished, make loans to farmers, said the chairman, Mr. H. E. Blyde
