Italians' Hope. Official circles at Rome hope to reach Alexandria in a month or two at the maximurn. Heavy Italian Losses. Heavy losses have been inflicted on Italian troops which advanced into Egypt from Libya. Britain's defenders had their record day when they destroyed 185 German raiders, of which 131 were bombers. Cool Heroism. Germany has turned her attack on Britain's civilian population because she believes it Britain's weakest point, but the morale of London is untouched. German Gag on Newsmen. Foreign correspondents in Germany have been forbidden to visit bombed areas or to send out reports different from the official accounts, under pain of expulsion, says the London Times. Blows at Invasion Machine. Large forces of British bombers which ranged by night over Germany, France, Belgium and Holland systematically sought out and broke up the German High Command's invasion machine.
