KOHI MEN FAREWELLED

Residents of the Kohi district and friends gathered at the Kohi hall on Tuesday evening to bid farewell to Mr. Lance Walker and his cousin. Mr. Laurie Walker, who leave for Trentham training camp shortly. Cards and dancing were enjoyed. Two novelty dancos were held, the winncrs being Miss Eileen Oliver and Mr. R. Blue and Mrs. Gulliver and Mr. C. Oliver. Winners of euchrc .were Mrs. C. J. Dickie and Mr. Lynch. A consolation prize went to Mrs. D. Robertson. * Mr. D. Robertson wished the men every success in their new career. He presented Mr. Lance Walker with a safety razor. Mr. W. Morrison, on behalf of Kohi settlers. presented Mr. Laurie Walker with a pocket wallet and said he would be greatly missed. Mr. S. Hone also syoke.
