Films Currently Showing. "Dad Rudd M.P." Bert Bailey and Fred MacDonald, who play the roles of "Dad" and "Dave" respectively in "Dad Rudd, M.P., Cinesound's modern cqmedy of the famous Hudd family, are the original "Dad and "Dave," having played the parts in the 6tage version of "On Our Selection, when Steele Rudd first wrote the story. In the words of the song, ■ "That was many years ago." During the stage life of "Selection" they played the parts so often that both became better known as "Dad" and "Dave" than by their own names. When Cinesound continued the Rudd family series with the production of "Grandad Rudd" and "Dad and Dave Came to Town," Bert Bailey and Fred MacDonald were the first members of the cast selected, of course, for the roles of "Dad" and "Dave." Supporting them in "Dad Rudd, M.P.," are Connie Martyn as "Mum" and Yvonne East as "Ann Rudd."
