LOYAL ELTHAM LODGE

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Eltham Lodge M.U. was held recently P.G. Bro. A. Towers presiding. Correspondence was received from the district secretary, Loyal Stratford and Excelsior Lodges, Bro. George and Mr. L. R. Bourke, secretary of the Eltham patriotic committee. Sister Scott was appointed the lodge's representative on the patriotic committee in place of Sister I. Harvey, who has temporarily left the district. One prospect! ve candidate was successful in the ballot. A vote of sympathy was passed to Bro. Glcntworth in a recent bereavement. New officers were installed in their various offices by P.D.G.M. Bro. E. Woodley, who, after addressing them as to their duties, called for lodge honours for them. Bro. Woodley cxpressed gratification in being asked to instal his own son Bro. Rex Woodley in the office of N.G. Supporters were, appointed as follows: R.S.N.G., Bro. T. Sulzberger; L.S.N.G., Sister E. Harvey; R.S.V.G., Bro. J. Death; L.S.N.G., Bro. J. Sulzberger. Sister Scott played the piano for dancing. Bowls were played and opportunity was taken to make a presentation to P.G. Bro. L. and Sister Sulzberger who were recently married. P.D.G.M. Bro. J. M. Bates made the presentation. Two lodge members. Bros' Sulzberger and W. Tarrant will leave for military training shortly,
