HOMES FOR MAORIS

TWO FOR NEW PLYMOUTH Decision to erect two new houses for some of the more needy cases of Maori residents of New Plymouth has been made by the Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Native Affairs, in response to recent representations made on the matter by Mr. F. L. Frost, M.P. Mr. Frost, who returned to New Plymouth from Wellington on Friday night, said that the whole position had been investigated and steps were still being pursued to provide accommodation for further cases. Mr. Frost said he could give no indication where the new houses would be built but they would, he understood, be in the borough of New Plymouth. They would relieve the position to some extent, at any rate, he added.
