CENTRAL TARANAKI TITLE MISS O'SULLIYAN WINS Miss O'Sullivan won the Central Taranaki women's golf championship and Miss j Hale and Mrs. Linn the principal handicaps at the Eltham tournament over the week-end. Before calling upon Mrs. S. Dyason to : present the trophies the president. Mr. j H. S. Turner. on behalf of the women's j committee, thanked all of the competitors J for attending, especially those who had j been coming for'so many years. The club had been doubtful whether to coniduct the tournament this year owing to I petrol restrictions and other conditions. but the response had been excellent. He congratulated the winners, especially Miss O'Sullivan. It was interesting to note, he said-, that three of the four semi-finalists in the championship were |on a four handicap. The general standI ard of play for the tournament had been I good. The women wished him to make | special mention of the services rendered jby the club's secretary. Mr. F.
