Guild's Shop Days. ' With the realisation of about £8 at a very successful shop day held in premises in Broadway, Stratford, the Stratford Lady Galway Patriotic Guild has now realised about £50 in _ its several shop days. Yesterday a large variety of goods was contributed by members and supporters, including vegetables, produce of all sorts, and items from home kitchens, as well as handicrafts, met with a ready sale. There were enough articles of handicrafts to dress the window in a manner reminiscent of a fancy goods shop. The shop day committee convener, Mrs. Rod McRae, organised and conducted the event with the assistance of guild members. Band Euclire. At the third night. of the fifth series of euchre parties being conducted by the committee of the Inglewood Municipal Band there were six tables engaged in play. the winners being Mrs. D. Clough 1, Mrs. R. Spurdle 2; Mr. D. Potroz 1, Mr. T. B. KnoiTlock 2. Pig Hunting Popular. , Pig hunters are frequent visitors to the Whangamomona di.strict at the present. timo. Hunters report that pigs are plcntiful, and that good sport is to be | had.
