ROOSEVELT PREFERRED Rec. 12.30 a.m. New York, Sept. 12. He preferred Mr. Koosevelt, with his known faults, to Mr. Wilkie, with his unknown virtues. said Mr. F. La Guardia, Mayor of New York and chairman of the American-Canadian defence committee, speaking of the coming Presidential elections. Mr. Roosevelt had made America the hope of the world, he added.
