WAVERLEY SELECTED
TARANAKI INFANTRY CAMP INSPECTION BY OFFICERS COLONEL JARDINE BACK Waverley racecourse has now been definitely chosen as the location of the Taranaki Regiment's camp until Waiouru is ready to take territorial -units. The regiment will go into camp on October 1. Major D. Malcolm, second in command, Lieutenant D. C. Powrie, adjutant, and Sergeant-Major J. H. Boon inspected the camp site at Waverley yesterday. Last night's Gazette announced that Lieut.-Colonel F. K. Turnbull had been appointed officer co'mmanding brigaded units at the Trentham mobilLsation camp, vice Lieut.-Colonel L. H. Jardine, who has resumed command of the Taranak Regiment for intensive training.
