COMPETITION CUP

CONCERT PARTY EVENT Concert parties will be seen ' in active competition at concerts in aid of the patriotic funds as the result of the donation of a special challenge cup for competition in North Taranaki. The possible procedure that might be adopted was outlined by Mr. R. L. Cooper at the meeting of the New Plymouth patriotic committee last night. He expressed the opinion that the judging in the preliminary stages should be by popular vote and the finals by adjudicators. He felt that the scheme would prove successful. The cup is to be known as the Red Rose Tea cup. Messrs. E. J. Carr and Cooper were appointed a sub-committee to finalise the matter.
