TUTUTAWA DISTRICT
PRIMARY PRODUCTION A meeting was held in the Tututawa hall when three members of the Stratford production council were present. Messrs. Marfell, Robins, and Blake of the Agricultural Department. Mr. R. Corry acted as chairman. Mr. Marfell explained the aims of the council and how necessary it was for more production. Mr, Robins gave detailed information as to the primary products that were most urgently needed. Mr. Blake gave an address on fertilisers and pig husbandry. A branch council was formed. Mr. R. Corry was elected chairman. A committee elected was Messrs. L. Walker, R. Ure, J. B. Norris, J. Wallace, A. C. Gower and O. Woods. The Tututawa hall was packed when the soldiers' committee held the monthly euchre party and dance. Visitors were present from Stratford, Toko, Douglas and Puniwhakau. The card winners were Mrs. F. Gattan and Mr. E. Harwood. Music for dancing was played by Mr. E. Harwood. Extras were played by Mr. A. Grahani. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs. Gatton and Mr. J. Wallace. Card masters were Mr. L. Wallace and Mr. J. Wallace. The masters of ceremonies were Mr. B. Mail and Mr. R. Corry. Miss S. Reid, who was the guest of Mrs. W. Stevenson. has returned to Patea. Mr. A. C. Gower, who was spending a few days at Omoana, has returned home. Mr. W. Fieid. Patea, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Stevenson. Mr. and Mrs. S. Dons. Urenui, old settlers of Tututawa, visited the district and old friends recently
