SATISFACTORY. RESULTS Takings at the various stalls at the annual spring flower show and sale of work of the Whiteley church, New Plymouth, were approximately £130, it was stated last night when the Rev. E. D. Patchett presented the trophies.' The result was very satisfactory, said Mr. Patchett, being slightly higher than the last year total of £128 10s. The success of the saies part of the show was due to the work of the women of the guild and the church generally. Owing to good business done by the stallholders the cash takings on Wednesday were about £10 better than on the first day last year, reaching £91 at closing 'time on Wednesday night. Points prizes were gained as follows:— • Daffodils: Miss M. Wright (runner-up, G. Foreman). Cut blooms: Mrs. E. Clow (Mrs. I. C. Marfell). Coo^ing: Mrs. A. H. Avery (Mrs. A. H. Bone). Children 's cup (decorative): Noel Guscott (Kathlyn Wagstaff).
