CHITTENDEN—THOMAS

At the Whitely Memorial Church, New Plymouth, on September 7 Selina Mary, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Thomas, Vogeltown, was married to Fred Harold, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Chittenden, Waitara. The Rev. E. D. Patchett officiated.The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of ivory satin and lace, simply fashioned and falling into a long train. A tulle veil, ornamented with true lovers' knots, was caught to her head with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white sweet peas, narcissi, hyacinths and maidenhair fern, the gift of her sister-in-law, Mrs. J. H. Thomas. Her sister, Miss Florence Thomas, who was bridesmaid, wore a shirred frock of minuet blue georgette over matching taffetas, with a Juliet cap of blue velvet flowers. Her bouquet was in butteicup tonings. Mr. Fred Coker was best man. A reception was held at the Hygienic tea rooms, where the tables were decorated with spring flowers and red, white and blue streamers. The bride's mother wore a smart black and white sheer frock, black coat and picture hat. Her shoulder spray was in mauve tonings. The bridegroom's mother wore a model frock of black faleonne silk with embossed matching coatee. Her shoulder spray was of scarlet anemones.
