MILLAND-OLYMPE RRADNA.

COMEDY AT OPERA HOUSE. — / One of the most popular actors of the day, Ray Milland, and the unique Olympe Bradna play the leading roles in Paramount's new romantic and hilarious film "Say It In French," which opened at the Opera House, New Plymouth, last night. Milland as usual is outstanding but the film is made by the superb performance of Olympe Bradna. Returning from a golf tour in Europe, Ray Milland brings with him a vivacious. pretty and typically Parisian wife, Miss Bradna. To prevent his father the disgrace of bankruptcy and the family flopping in society Milland and his wife decide to keep the marriage a secret until the family troubles are settled. Milland pretends to be engaged to a wealthy girl and Olympe Branda becomes a maid in her father-in-law's house. By tricking the manager of a large shipbuilding firm into signing contracts for his father, Milland saves the family from disgrace and he is able to announce his marriage. Olympe Bradna plays a role in which she ably displays her remarkable talent. The accompanying feature, "Island of Lost Men," starring Anna May Wong, J. Carrol Naish, Anthony Quinn and Eric Blore, makes the whole programme splendid entertainment to suit any taste. "Island of Lost Men" is a stirring story of a man who claims to be ,king of an area in the Straits Settlements, where he has become a bullying dictator. In this fever-infested jungle he has imprisoned a Chinese general, Anna May Wong's father, who is blamed for stealing an immense sum of money, really taken by the crafty "dictator of the river." Anna May Wong and her fiance, a secret service agent from Singapore, rescue the father and restore law and order to the jungle.
