FARMERS' TRUCKS
HEAVY TRAFFIC FEES POSITION EXPLAINED A misunderstanding had arisen among some farmers regarding their obligation to obtain a heavy traffic license, for they had intimated that they were awaiting an account from the council and were unaware that the onus was on them to make application to the council, stated the traffic inspector, Mr. C. E. Varcoe, in his report to the Egmont County Council yesterday. During the month he had found several farmers' trucks of over two tons laden weight operating on the roads without heavy- traffic licenses. In.each case he had .warned the.driver that the fees must be paid. Nine heavy motor vehicles were weighed during the month, it was reported.
