AUGUST BUSY MONTH

PATEA HOSPITAL WORK "August was very busy, the daily number of occupied beds being 43.5 compared with 39.3 for August, 1939;" reported the matron, Miss A. L. Harris, at a meeting of the Patea Hospital Board yesterday. There were 39 patients in hospital at August 1, reported the medical superintendent, Dr. W. T. Simmons. During August 61 patients were admitted, 56 were discharged, and orie died, leaving 44 patients in hospital at the end of the month.
