GRADE DROP LIKELY
central school roll The Central school. New Plymouth, is likely lo drop a sub-grade and in consequence lose one teachcr in 1911, aceording to the report of the headmaster, Mr. W. L. Wagstaff, to the committoe last night. The report stated that to retain the present grade an average attendance of 740 would lie necessary. During the second term 22 pupils had been admitted and three withdrawn, leaving the roll | number at 729. and the average attendance 679.9. These figures indicated that the fall in the sub-grade was likely.
