WEDDING.

McLEOD-HOBSON. The wedding was celebrated on Easter Monday, at St. Paul’s Church, Christchurch, of Rita Hobson, daughter of Mrs. Hobson, Opawa, and James McLeod, of New Plymouth. The Rev. L. McMaster was the officiating clergyman. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. A. P. Hobson. She wore a model frock of pastel georgette, trimmed with insets of guipure lace. Her hat of lace straw and flowers was of pastel shades to tone, with a scarf of tulle exquisitely arranged and falling from her shoulder. She carried a shower bouquet of hothouse flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Esma Hooley, wore a frock of powder blue satin, trimmed with ecru lace, and a hat of blue taffetas. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridegroom's brother, Mr. Alan McLeod, of Milton, Otago, was best man. A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of Mrs. A. P. Hobon, sister-in-law of the bride, where Mrs. J. Hobson received her guests dressed in a tailored suit of grey charmalaine with grey fox furs and a hat to match. Mrs. A. P. Hobson was attired in an ensemble suit of figured crepe-de-chine and charmalaine with hat to match. Mr. and Mrs. McLeod left by motor for a tour of the South Island. The bride’s travelling dress was of beige charmalaine with a chic hat of velour felt. She wore a musquash coat.
