ESCAPEE RECAPTURED
RUNAWAY IN EXHAUSTED STATE. By telegraph.— Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. Charles Newman, who escaped from the Borstal institution on Thursday last, was recaptured at 7 this evening, hiding under a haystack near Otautau. He was in an exhausted condition and stated that he had had practically no food since Saturday night.
