ROMAN CATHOLIC PROTEST BRITISH PRESS ATTACKED CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received April 9, 8.5 p.m. A. and N.Z. London, April 9. The Daily Express announces it has taken up the challenge of Roman Catholies to the effect that the British Press is conspiring to suppress the truth about the Mexican outrages. It publishes a letter from Evan Morgan, a son of Lord Tredegar, in which the Roman Catholic suspicion of a conspiracy is firmly stated, and reproduces photographs of Mexican executions. The paper announces that it has ordered its New York representative to go to Mexico and make unbiassed investigations. It also prints a cable from exPresident Calles denying the atrocities.
