DEMONSTRATION' AT MASTERTON. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Masterton, April 7. The United Districts’ Fire Brigades’ Association's demonstration opened this morning on the Masterton Park oval. Two Men Event.—Dannevirke A, 38 4-ssec, 1; Waipukiirau A, 40.4-sscc, 2j Masterton B, 41 2-ssec, 3. ’ Five Mep Standpipe and Union Event. —Masterton, 35sec, 1. The seventeenth annual conference was held on Friday night, the president, Deputy-Superintendent G. Doran (Lower Hutt), presiding. The election of officers resulted: President, Fireman H. Braggins (Masterton); vice-president©, Foreman O. Silbury (Petone), Secretary C, Robinson (Napier), Superintendent R. A. Anderson (Marton), Chamber© (Waipukurau); treasurer, Foreman H. Price (Hastings); secretary, Deputy" Superintendent R. Henderson (Hast" ings); auditor, Fireman J. D. Donovan (Hastings). The next demonstration is to J>e held at Marton.
