There were some strange scenes at th© Albert Hall when a thousand converts, both men and women, were publicly baptised in a large tank by Pastor Jeffreys, th© founder of the Elim Four Square Gospel Alliance of the British Isles. Ten thousand spectators were present and there were many hallelujahs ag women in white robes and bathing cap© and men in shorts and white shirts were completely immersed and returned to specially heated dressing rooms.
