Am ambitious,project.Jias Jately been undertaken by two young English women bacteriologists, Miss Joan Ross and Dr. Phyllis Bland,. who lia ve commenced compiling a bacteriological atlas of all the more important organisms, knownto science. Such a work has never been attempted before, and when completed, should be of immense value. The compilers have the backing of one of the largest technical publishing firms in the world.

: The wedding of Mfs. T. Garritzen and Mr. C. J. McKinnon took. place recently; at the Kndx Church, Lower Hutt.' The Rev. J. McCaw officiated, and Miss McCaw provided appropriate music.. The; cnurch was decorated with many beautiful Howers. The bride was in. a charming frock of French grey, embroidered voile,with a ’ cape of pale green georgette and a becoming hat of the same shade. Her bouquet was of pale pink roses. Miss Janet Anson was maid of honour, wearing aprfcot georgette and a black hat with touches of apricot,; her bouquet being of crimson roses. • Mr. J. McKinnon, uf Auckland, was best man. After the ceremony. Dr. and Mr*?. Anson entertained a number of guesfts at their residence, “Rawhiti,” Hutt I’qad, l ' Mrs. Anson wearing a gown of .rich- black silk and a black hat, and carrying a bouquet of lavender sweet peas and pyrethrum.
