DAIRY PRODUCE EXPORTS
SHIPPING ALLOCATIONS. TARANAKI’S QUOTA. Allotments of space for dairy produce in steamers leaving New Zealand ports for the United Kingdom between December 5 and January 15 next provide for a total of 147,823 crates of cheese and 307.120 boxes of butter. Taranaki’s quota is 60,562 crates of cheese and 23,563 boxes of butter, these figures representing 40.97 per cent, of the Dominion cheese export and 7.67 per cent, of butter for the period. Contributions from cool stores at Patea are 35,812 crates of cheese and 5776 boxes of butter, while the respective figures relating to New Plymouth are 24,750 and 17,787. Details of allotments for shipments from the two ports are as follow: PATEA. Ruahine, finally sailing from Napier about December 5, 2104 crates cheese, 3030 boxes butter. Tainui, from Auckland, December 15, 8460 crates cheese. Arawa, from Auckland, January 4, 7248 crates cheese. Port Sydney, from Napier, January 5,274 G boxes butter. Tongariro, from Dunedin, January 7, 10,000 crates cheese. Mataroa, from Auckland, January 15, 8000 crates cheese. Totals: Crates of cheese, 35,812; boxes of butter, 5776. NEW PLYMOUTH. Turakina, from Auckland, December IG, 7250 crates cheese, 9787 boxes butter. Mamari, from Dunedin, December 17, 7500 crates cheese. Arawa, from Auckland, January 4; 8000 boxes butter. Tongariro, from Dunedin, January 7, 10,000 crates cheese. Totals: Crates of cheese, 24,750; 'boxes of butter, 17,787.
