NEW SOUTH WALES CRISIS
NO SETTLEMENT REACHED
AN APPEAL TO THE COUNTRY
L.ABOUR PARTY PREPARED By A-legraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. ■Sydney, Nov. 26. The efforts to .make arrangements which woul'. enable 1 the Government to carry on have failed. It is authoritatively stated that Messrs. Gillies and Goodin tendered to the secretary of the Labour Party their resignations as members of that party. Mr. Loughlin has definitely stated that he will not go back on his word. There must be an appeal to the country within four months. Members of the Labour Party declared that they were prepared for an election. They did not want to be caught at the last moment. Most of the members on all sides have chosen the electorates they intend to contest under the single seats scheme.
