RAILWAY WORKSHOPS
BUILDING TENDER ACCEPTED.

Tenders for the Hillside locomotive workshops and for the Addington ear and wagon workshops were considered by Cabinet to-day. Eight complete tenders were received, and one for the supply of special materials. The successful tenderer was Mr. W. McLellan, of Dunedin, who named Sir William Ariel and Company, of England, for the supply of the steel work. The approximate price of the job is £200,000.
