MARCONI’S MARRIAGE

ITS ANNULMENT SOUGHT. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Nov. 25, 5.5 p.m. Rome, Nov. 24. Signor Marconi has interviewed the Pope and discussed the annulment of his marriage, for which a preliminary decree was granted by the Curia of Westminster, on the ground of the defective legality of his marriage with the Hon. Beatrice O'Brien (daughter of Lord Inchiquin). It was stated by Marconi that his wife made it a condition before marriage that site could separate whenever she might wish to do so, which Marconi claims nullifies the marriage in Roman Catholic canon law. It is now rumoured that Marconi is engaged to marry a member of the old Roman aristocracy.
