For grade cricket matches there was fine weather and good wickets. For Moseman against Balmain Salmon made 142 not out; for Gordon against Glebe Watson made 117; for Randwick against Cumberland Donnan made 110 and McCristal 119 not otit; for Cumberland, Waddy made 123; for University against North Shore Hogg made 96; for Waverley against Marrickville Lewis made 104. Bowling for Waverley O’Connor took six wickets for 45 and in the ■ second innings Kippax took six for 62. MELBOURNE MATCHES. Melbourne, Nov. 21. The weather and grounds were good. For St. Kilda against University Ponsford made 132; for Carlton against North Melbourne Woodfull made 103; for Melbourne against Essendon Hendry made 44. RULES OF THE GAME.ALTERATIONS FORESHADOWED. London, Nov. 20. The County Cricket Advisory Committee discussed the advisableness of assisting bowlers and agreed to favour a smaller ball. It appointed a subcommittee consisting of Lord Harris, Messrs. Dixon, Higson and Jupp to consider the matter, and also the question of paying less attention to the preparation of wickets. Concerning the Says allotted for test matches, it was decided to await the effect of any alteration the sub-com-mittee might recommend. The Lancashire proposal to abolish the tea interval on the third day of a test match was adopted.
