SUPREME COURT

THE TARANAKI SESSION. OPENING TO-DAY. The last 1926 quarterly session of the Supreme Court in the Taranaki judicial district opens at New Plymouth this morning at 10.30, before the Hon. C. P. Skerrett, the Chief Justice. The calendar is a fairly full one, and included in the cases to be heard are two criminal cases for trial. One prisoner is to come up for sentence. There are eight civil cases to be heard, 13 divorce petitions, and a number of bankruptcy motions and miscellaneous eases.

A number of claims will be heard before the Compemsation Court,
