NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB EVENING MEETING. Tlie second of the series of races for points prizes was run last night at Pukekura Park by the New Plymouth Amateur Athletic Club. Some good performances were registered and some promising runners brought to light. Large fields faced the starter in each race, some new members starting in some of the senior ones. The results of the races are as follow: — 100 Yards Juniors. —J. Warner 1, G. S. Slyfield 2, M. Geddes 3. Also started: Robertson, Walsham. Won by five yards. Time, 11 l-ssec. 220 yards senior.—J. Norris (Byds) I, J. Jackson (19yds) 2, A. S. Hunter (1J yds) 3. The only starters. Won by two feet. Time, 23 3-ssec. Maiden two laps.—Shrimpton 1, Gorringe 2, C. Robertson 3. Won by four yards. Time, 2min. 8 2-asee. One Mile Senior. —Gilmour (40yds) 1, Penwarden (60yds I' 2, C. Head (100yds) 3. Time, 4min. 431 see. Also started. Taylor. Kelly, Julian, Jakes, . Capon, Hunter, Slyfield. Tufi'ery. Hoad led the

field for the first two laps, when he was displaced by Penwarden with Gilmour third about 25 yards behind. Thi» order was maintained till near the straight, where Gilmour sprinted to the front to win by three yards.
