EXPLOSION ON OIL TANKER
FIVE PERSONS KILLED.
INJURED NUMBER FIFTY

At least’ five were killed and 50 injured to-day in an explosion at Sparrows Point, near Baltimore, on the dry-docked Norwegian tanker Mantilla, which sprayed flaming oil on the workers in the vicinity. It was later determined that there were 15 fatalities and 75 injured. The workers were engulfed in the blazing hulk.
