ENTERTAINMENTS.

SHAKESPEARIAN PAGEANTRY.

The Shakespearian characters in connection with the Y.W.C.A. entertainment, are devoting Saturday afternoon to a special rehearsal in the Workers’ Social Hall. The whole programme of elocutionary items, music and dancing promises to be very fine indeed. Those taking part in the scenes from Shakespeare’s immortal comedies, romances and tragedies have gone to a great deal of trouble to get dresses suitable for the characters represented, and with the special lighting these and the grouped eong pictures should be most effective, especially as the closing item depicts eight crinoline ladies. Mrs. Riley is supplying fairies for the “Mid-Summer Night’s Dream” scene and also Ariel in “The Tempest.”
