FRANCO-GERMAN PEACE
SUPPORTED BY GERMANS. By Telegraph—Pies’ Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 19, 7.35 p.m. London, Nov. 18. The Times’ Cologne correspondent reports that M. Briand’s and Dr. Strcsc-' mann’s desire for an enduring peace is supported by the German Republicans, according to Herr Wirth, the former Chancellor. “But,” .he added, “storm clouds are gathering and trifles are delaying the work begun by the Thory conversations. Owing to the French Government’s irreconcilability, and the newspapers magnifying insignificant disarmament detail, France’s war spirit is still unchecked, but Germans are resolved that no blame shall attach to the Fatherland for any future war.”
