Wheat.—ln view of the continued weakness oversea, local shippers are reluctant to ifiake offers for Ahis season’s delivery. The nominal value is about 4s 8d at country stations, and local millers have again adjusted their offers for November-December delivery to 5s 3d and 5s 4d ex trucks at Sydney. Flour is quoted at £l2 10s f.o.b. for November-December shipment, while old season’s is nominally £l5 10s. Oats.—Tasmanian, Algerian, 3s lOd and 4s; white, 4s 3d to 4s sd. Maize. —South African, 7s 6d. Onions.—Victorian, £l2 to £l6; local. £l2 to £l3 per ton. Potatoes. —Tasmanian, £lB to £25; New Zealand, nominally £l5; Victorian. £23; West Australian, £27; local, £2O to £23. LONDON MARKETS. Received Nov. 18, 8.50 p.m. London, Nov. 17. Freer offers have induced weakness in < the wheat market. Cargoes have declined 6d to 9d, and pareels 9d. The price of gold is £4 4s HJd per ounce. At the tallow sales, 1853 casks were offered and 280 sold at about a shilling decline. Mutton, fine, brought 43s per cwt.; medium, 40s. Beef, fine, 445; medium, 39s 6d. MELBOURNE HIDES MARKET. Received Nov. 18, 9.50 p.m. Melbourne, Nov. 18. The hides market is strong, principally for specially prepared parcels. Other prices are unchanged.
